STONE WATER STING

Close your eyes if you want to see. In this performance real actions begins when sight fades.

In the beginning audience is separated into two parts – spectators and participants. Former can see everything from a distance. Activated and sharpened senses start to interact, making unleashed imagination as a key part of the performance. Participants, led by the actors, are taken to the depths of the consciousness and transferred to the parallel worlds, where plots of fables and sorcery grow on the skin, expands through vibrations of the sounds, while scents and tastes intertwines.

Elements of old Lithuanian mythology, that served as inspiration for the performance, brings techniques of theatre of senses closer to physiology of imagining spectator. Actors on stage don’t try to tell stories, imitate or create characters. Archetypes of birth and death, transformation and nature, cosmos and home, coming and going appears without an explanation as situations experienced through senses or as experiences of newly born consciousness, where blindness and sigh are reversed.
